1967 Ford Mustang Fastback "Eleanor" Recreation — 408ci ATK stroker V8 (SCAT forged crank, forged pistons, hydraulic roller cam, Dart heads) on a self-tuning FiTech Go EFI 4 system, Tremec T56 six-speed with a McLeod twin-disc clutch, Wilwood four-corner discs, Ford 9-inch rear with limited-slip. Finished on 17" Legendary Wheel Company HB45 Halibrand-style wheels, with a Hurst shifter and Old Air Hurricane AC inside. Current bid sits at $120,000 .

Detroit reminded everyone what the grassroots side of this hobby looks like this past week. The Woodward Dream Cruise — the world's largest single-day car event — drew an estimated 1 million-plus spectators and roughly 40,000 classic, muscle, and custom vehicles along its 16-mile Metro Detroit route. No auction paddle, no reserve, just a whole city showing up for cars. It's the same energy we're chasing with every attainable listing we run alongside the flagships.
On the data side, Hagerty's latest numbers back up something we've believed for a while: the collector base is getting younger, and its taste is shifting. Millennials and Gen Z now make up roughly 26% of Hagerty's insured base, and the cars they're chasing skew heavily JDM — think late-90s/early-2000s Nissan Skyline R34s, Mitsubishi Evos, and Nissan Silvia S15s for Millennials, with Gen Z gravitating hard toward the first-gen Mazda Miata. It's a generation raised on Gran Turismo and Fast & Furious putting real money behind the cars they grew up wanting — which is exactly the lane we've been building toward with our JDM and attainable-classics inventory.
