This is no ordinary classic truck. Now live on BIDRAuctions.com, this 1961 Chevrolet C60 has been fully transformed from its humble beginnings as a working tow truck into a one-of-a-kind diesel-powered custom build. Powered by a 5.9L Cummins 12-valve inline-six and packed with performance upgrades, this C60 blends old-school style with modern muscle and craftsmanship in all the right places.
Finished in timeless black and riding on custom wheels with fresh tires, it’s a truck that honors its heritage—but brings the torque and toughness of a modern diesel setup. If you’re after a classic hauler with a serious attitude, look no further.
Built to Haul, Built to Show
Under the hood sits a legendary 5.9L Cummins 12-valve diesel, pulled from a 1996 Dodge Ram 3500 and built to perform. With a long list of upgrades—including ARP hardware, a new Hamilton cam, high-flow injectors, and a custom turbo and intercooler setup—this engine is far from stock. Backing it up is a tough-as-nails NV4500 5-speed manual transmission, paired with a Kevlar ceramic clutch for dependable power delivery.
This C60 doesn’t just look tough—it’s ready to tow, cruise, or turn heads at any car show.

Custom Craftsmanship
What really sets this C60 apart is the handmade wooden bed—a nod to vintage truck styling with the kind of detail you rarely see today. Converted from the truck’s original tow body, the custom bed is both functional and show-worthy.
The interior features a Dakota Digital gauge cluster for modern accuracy, while the braking system has been fully refreshed with new drums, shoes, and lines for confident stopping power. There’s no A/C or power steering—this truck is built for drivers who want a raw, connected feel behind the wheel.

Custom wheels and brand-new tires
-
Restored cab and bodywork with original patina
-
Hydro boost brake system
