Just before Thanksgiving, our team at BIDR Auctions and Hillbank Motorsports in Jupiter, Florida had the profound honor of hosting a remarkable young guest: King, a courageous blood cancer survivor, car fanatic, and the driving force behind the King Fights Cancer Foundation.

King and his family spent the afternoon with us, exploring the cars, asking amazing questions, and diving into the stories behind some of the most iconic machines ever built — from classic Shelby Cobras and GT40s to rare and one-of-a-kind vehicles in our collection. What stood out most wasn’t just King’s incredible knowledge and enthusiasm, but the joy and unity his entire family brought with them. His younger siblings share his passion, and his parents radiate a quiet strength and kindness that touched everyone on our team.

During his cancer battle, it was supercars — toys, videos, visits, and car culture — that helped keep him going. That passion became more than a hobby; it became a source of strength and healing. His family shared how, even during the toughest days of treatment, it was the thought of supercars that made King smile and push forward. That joy and energy was in full force during his visit, and it reminded all of us why we love what we do.

That same love is now fueling something even bigger: The King Fights Cancer Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to bringing joy, encouragement, and unforgettable experiences to other children facing pediatric cancer. Through care packages, toy drives, and special events the foundation is changing lives — one child, one family at a time. We were honored to make a donation during their visit to help support this mission, and we encourage our entire BIDR Auctions community to learn more and consider getting involved.
